AUTHORITARIAN SPPF FATIGUE OR A SEARCH FOR A NEW PARADIGM?
The authoritarian National Assembly was right to obstruct and was visionary with tax payer’s money in the light of the Covid-plague to stop the ministerial appointment of Danny’s three conservative-authoritarian career political comrades from Parti Lepep. As the CEO of the totalitarian State Capitalist Corporation, Danny is an expert in the logic of austerity championed by his capitalist cum cabalistic authoritarian friends from the LDS. Soon after these forthcoming elections, Seselwa unhealthy diet will be comprised with solely the logic of economic and political austerity.
Authoritarian rulers cannot tolerate genuine institutional autonomy. Thus, that is why in the constitutional case of “The Executive v/s The Speaker”, Danny displayed a reckless confidence in a political system he no longer controlled. Or was he SIMPLY fishing for authoritarian jurisdictional constraints against the National Assembly through the ‘judicialization’ of politics in a turbulent, in stable and extraordinary uncertain time? To add insult to injury, Judicial Notices were alarming issued when for example Danny took more than eight months to enforce the Chief Justice inconvenient court rulings into the stolen six million dollars.
Simultaneously, authoritarian rulers will always strive to constraint, contain and control their own institutional creations. A classic illustration was when Danny’s central core of power was brought into the limelight by the empowerment of the TRNUC Commission in 2019. TRNUC is a quasi-judicial body made of both Seselwa and foreigners mandated to polish a domestic and Universal legitimacy to all the human wrongs committed from 1977 by the SPPF rigid authoritarian regime. Without exercising any institutional restraint (an enduring authoritarian characteristic of all our institutions, with most notably the Judiciary which has done a lot to sustain the competitive authoritarianism of Parti Lepep for 43years), the TRNUC Commission set a novel JUDICIAL TONE in our Post Modern legal history. By rightly empowering “Conservative Judicial Activism” (not a Judicial Putsch), TRNUC started to investigate human rights abuses from 1977 under the novel legal ideology of Transitional or Restorative Justice until it think it will find its authoritarian breakdown or withdrawal by and from Parti Lepep? For the first time the continuum “shrewd strategy of cooperation, co-optation and coercion” of “Parti Lepep” was tamed/halted in favor of the “RIGHTS OF MAN” by the TRNUC.
Therefore, that is why through the empowerment of “Conservative Judicial Activism”, TRNUC went beyond the year 1993 to the utter dismay of the legal authoritarian wisdom of both Mr. President and his Attorney General. The Google definition of Judicial Activism simply means courts and quasi-Judicial Commissions “CANGO BEYOND THE WORDS OF THE CONSTITUTION OR STATUTE TO CONSIDER BROADER SOCIETAL IMPLICATIONS OF ITS DECISIONS”. Are we truly in a genuine transitory period from authoritarianism? Or are we not caught in a hybridized diabolical snare in the totalitarian ideological muscle-mass of the revanchism of authoritanism alongside the revanchism of capitalism as prophesized by Orson Wells in his 1949 novel: “1984”?
As the current Pseudo-Incumbent, step wisely Danny inherited the jewel crown as a loyal, submissive and disciplined rank and file career politician (AKA COMPLICIT COMRADE IN ARMS) who was always blindly on duty to and for the authoritarian ruling coalition under Albert. In stark contrast, Wavel started his political career as an agitator against Legibus Solubus from the pulpit (equally a tradition of white hierarchy but not equality). His brilliant political career is reaching the three decades mark.
Credit should indeed be given to Mr. Ramkalawan in that he has been that damned lucky one politician who through the nominal democratization process and the symbolic drops of his own black and red blood has been able to make the authoritarian snake (SPPF) to eat its own tail. Bravo Mr. Leader of the Opposition as you would not be so great today, if it had not been for the prices that so many of us have paid in real human sacrifices for you. I am from a family which has shed at least five human sacrifices for you and today I stand character-assassinated, jobless and stateless. Albeit penniless I refused to be a client to the authoritarian Agency for Social Protection nor to come and beg at Arpent Vert. A principle I learned from my then mum: “PLITO MON MOR LO MON LIPLE KI OLYE VIV LO MON ZENOU”.
So Wavel please stop provoking my hard earned “Simple-Individuality” with your populist ideological political dunk “Sesel pou tou son zanfan”, which is sugar-coating to “Nou tou nou la pou mem rezon”. Equally self-deceptive as “Koste pou Sesel” political dunk. I will rather be a lone wolf and walk into the footsteps of talismanic American Civil Rights activist (W.E. DUBOIS) who warned “blacks” to be so mindful when wrestling with these four fundamental human questions: What is honesty in the face of deception? How does integrity think in the face of oppression? What does decency do in the face of insults? How does virtue meet brute force?
Am an ex-lawyer who as a guerilla intellectual did follow that four golden rules and militantly fought for many marginalized Seselwa, for you and myself. Did you know that after we shook hands in the National Assembly Building last year, I resigned and was terminated retroactively by the Ombudsman because I fought for the black domestic worker and myself on those four human pillars -sorry we do not internalize inferiority/domesticity? Please forgive me for my proletarian display of emotional intelligence which conservative-authoritarians like you (and so many) consider so sucking weak. There is a fundamental irony and greatness between the cult of success-worships and true individualism (freedom).
Seselwa therefore, need to intensively ponder, assess and re-evaluate the excellent Machiavellian cunnings (politics of dirtying the hands), raw concentrated political power and authoritarian aggression(s) which Wavel has amassed and had to resort to in order for him to be able to demolish the totalitarian hegemony of the SPPF. Please do note that authoritarianism is biologically and psychically very infectious. There is also political superstition in the embracement of authoritarianism.
Wavel has scored so many political aces. I humanely love the ace-one where he snookered “Socialist Danny” to concede an ahistorical egalitarian redistribution (equality of outcome) in the allowances for public servants. Bourgeoisie Danny prostituted the chastity of his mind by invoking his Veto Power and chooses to hide behind his gullible driver to show his anti-egalitarian ideology. Paradoxically Wavel is also an anti-egalitarian ideologue. Above all, Wavel has ruthlessly been consistent and super-efficient in demolishing his main political rivals ranging from Mancham (1998) to his latest collateral damage N.Prea -his ex-running mate aka the “abstract pseudo-conservative authoritarian Mr. Speaker”.
