Court of Appeal upholds 20yr sentences for Cannabis traffickers

The Court of Appeal has upheld the 20yrs sentences of two convicted drug traffickers who were caught with large amounts of Cannabis at an isolated farm in Anse Boileau area six years ago.

The NDEA, now ANB, reported at the time that the estimated street value of the drugs seized, suspected of having been imported from Madagascar, was around USD 1.6 million.Jean-Francois Adrienne, 38, a former farmer and carpenter, and Terrence Servina, 47,former driver, both from Anse Royale, were arrested by NDEA officers in possession of 47kgs of the drug.
