Nomination Day dates set for Presidential and National Assembly Elections 2020

The Nomination date for the Presidential election has been set for September 16, 2020 while that for the National Assembly election is on September 18, 2020.The dates were published by the Electoral Commission Seychelles in the Official Gazette for the up-coming Presidential and National Assembly elections to be held on October 22, 23 and 24, 2020.

Nomination days are the days allocated to receive nominations of candidates from political parties and citizens who would like to contest in the elections as per Section 14 of the Elections Act.

On both dates the nomination of candidates will take place from 9am to 1pm at the Electoral Commission headquarters, ex-Sacos Tower, Victoria.

Citizens of Seychelles who wish to participate in the elections can collect their nomination packs containing nomination forms and related documents at the Electoral Commission headquarters at the ex-Sacos Tower, Victoria.

The Electoral Commission is also offering support on how to compile and submit nomination documents to prospective candidates. This will be done on an appointment basis and appointments need to be booked by email on: slo@ecs.sc or Tel: 4295555
