Defamation case against Raoul Rene Payet dismissed

his is a story which is worth quoting the great Bob Marley, who sung in one of his songs entitled ‘Get up, stand up’: “We sick an’ tired of-a your ism-skism game – Dyin’ ‘n’ goin’ to heaven in-a Jesus’ name, Lord – We know when we understand – Almighty God is a living man – You can fool some people sometimes – But you can’t fool all the people all the time – So now we see the light (what you gonna do?) – We gonna stand up for our rights (yeah, yeah, yeah)”.

Last week, the Attorney for Wavel Ramkalawan appeared before SBC television cameras and other media houses at the Supreme Court to pronounce that his client had forgiven Raoul Rene Payet in a defamation case against him. Anthony Derjacques knew that the Supreme Court Judge was going to dismiss the case against Payet because his client had failed to turn up in court on two occasions. And the Judge had already warned him to that effect.

However, Anthony Derjacques knowing full well what was about to happen last week, when the case was called and his client; one Wavel John Charles Ramkalawan was not present in Court; Derjacques played the forgiveness card to gain his client maximum credibility coming up to the presidential election in which his client is a candidate. He succeeded to fool some people but not all the people because his shenanigans is now being exposed in the pages of this newspaper.
