Election registration being Ramped up

Following its registration drive in June, the Electoral Commission Seychelles is embarking on a special registration exercise within the month of July to ensure that a maximum number of voters register for the 2020 Presidential Elections.

This exercise will take place over a two-tier system, with the first tier taking place last week followed by another round this week and going on for three weekends at stations set up at primary schools. The commission invites all voters who have yet to register to use this opportunity in order to participate in the upcoming elections.

All voters who have registered up to December 2019 can check their names on the Voters’ Register by SMS on 9600 or on its website www.ecs.sc. A credible voter register is the responsibility of all voters in partnership with the Electoral Commission Seychelles.
