Presidential candidates count themselves in SBC Debate

The Seychelles Broadcasting Corporation (SBC) is splicing questions from the Seychellois public for the historic first TV debate between the 5 candidates in the October 2020 Elections.Initially there will be two debates, set for Friday 9th and Friday 16th October, both starting at 7pm. In the event of a run-off there will be a third debate.The format of debate to be adopted by SBC is based on a model used by Canada for its Leaders’ Debate. The debate will be opened by a presenter a Debate managed by a moderator.

All candidates will have two minutes to make an opening statement and one minute to respond to any question that is put to him during the debate. The format also allows for candidates to debate amongst themselves after each has given their response to a question.
