Ramkalawan’s Double Standards with regards to money

We would like to remind our readers and all Seychellois, in case they blink or miss it, that we live in a world of double standards. This applies to Seychelles as much as in other parts of the world, but It’s not because it exists in other parts of the world that we should find it normal here.

Remember the grilling and roasting that Wavel Ramkalawan, Leader of the LDS Opposition in the National Assembly, gave to the Minister for Finance, in the Assembly last week as to why he couldn’t inform the people of Seychelles the amount of money that FA4JR had paid and to whom.Yet barely two days later in the debate on the new Electoral rules, when it came to the question of divulging to the public the names of who contributed more than 50,000/-Rupees to a Political party, the same Ramkalawan pushed for the names of the contributors NOT be published.Dear readers, always be on the lookout for double standards, as we call it in Creole “de pwa, de mezir”.
